On Saturday, October 3, 2020, The Highground Veterans Memorial Park near Neillsville placed Honor Stones in commemoration of five members of the Barth family. All five family members served in the US Army and all were from Thorp, WI.
Conrad W. Barth served from April 29, 1918 to February 3, 2019, a veteran of World War I.
Leonard C. Barth was a Staff Sergeant serving in the European Theater of Operations during World War II.
Conrad O. Barth served from 1946-47 in the Panama Canal Zone just after World War II. He lives in Thorp.
Fred E. Barth was in the Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean Conflict in 1951. He currently resides in Greenwood.
Edwin E. Barth served from November 1964-November 1966 as a Sp/4 with the Military Police in South Korea.
Edwin of Thorp was the only one of the three surviving honorees who was able to attend the ceremony. A large representation of the Barth family was in attendance with him.
