The Diners’ Club met on May 26 at the Silver Dollar, Thorp, after a two year COVID pause. This senior group has been dining out together for the past 30 years. As the years went by the group lost some diners and others were added.
The group chose an eating place throughout the local area. Meeting about every three to four months, very seldom did they dine the same place twice.
It all started with a group of fishermen who were advised they should also have a night out with their wives. Others remembered it was Owen city employees who started the Diners’ Club. The year the club began no one seems to remember for sure but all are sure they enjoy the night out.
