Farmers Market meets Hollywood

The Farmers Market was a very busy and successful market on Saturday. With our three gardens starting to produce and veggies ripening we were able to have a wide variety for sale. Blueberries along with green beans and zucchini were the big sellers. Baked goods sold out. We so enjoy visiting with all the patrons. Some commented on the recipe and was buying some of the ingredients to make the bread. I am including another great recipe from my mom for Blueberry ice cream dessert. It’s delicious.

When we decide to travel in the summer, I always check out to see if there are any Farmers Markets in the area. Two weekends ago, we were in Spring Grove, Minnesota, watching our two grandsons. Much to my dismay there were no Markets during the days we were there. We took our grandsons to the movie Peter Rabbit 2—the Runaway and, to my surprise, there were clips in the movie about Farmers Markets. A very good family movie. Even Hollywood is advertising Farmers Markets. Enjoy the recipe and hope to see you next weekend at the Market.

Blueberry Ice Cream Dessert

9”x13” pan.

Ingredients

40 Ritz crackers

1/2 stick melted butter

wanted 1/2 cups milk

two packages instant vanilla pudding

1 quart vanilla ice cream

2 cups fresh blueberries

Cool Whip™

Directions

Crush crackers and add melted butter. Press 3/4 of the mixture in the bottom of the pan.

Mix the milk and pudding with a wire whisk until pudding is thick. Add ice cream and beat with mixture until smooth.

Add blueberries. Spread Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with cracker crumbs.

Enjoy, it's delicious.
