The Owen-Withee Alumni held their 2nd annual Breakfast at the Orchard on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Black River Orchard, Withee. The pancake extravaganza breakfast was served outdoors, undercover as well as carry out and drive thru.

This year an outdoor craft show was added which included home décor, arts and crafts, gifts and more. This was a nice addition to get folks in the spirit of the season.

Barb and Gordy Finkelson also had opening day for the Black River Orchard on Saturday. Stop by the orchard located at N14252 Cty Rd. O, southwest of Withee and enjoy a festive time at the orchard throughout the autumn season.

O-W FFA leader and Ag Teacher Travis Engel had this to say of this year’s breakfast, “Breakfast at the Orchard was a success! We safely served 300 guests a great spread of breakfast foods. Aside from the dampness of a September rain, everyone enjoyed their time at Black River Orchard. Thank you, Barb and Gordy, for hosting. Our outdoor vendor show was a great addition and we will look to host more vendors in the future. A huge thank you to Loyal Event Rentals for additional tent space and tables and chairs for our guests. Thank you to Kerry for donating pancake mix, and to Weber Farm Store, LaGrander's Hillside Dairy, Yellowstone Cheese, Grassland Dairy, and Black River Orchard for supplying the other food items. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped park cars, cook and serve the meal, assist vendors, shuttle guests via wagon rides and so much more. Thank you for attending Breakfast at the Orchard! We'll do it again on Saturday, September 11, 2021.”
