The JV Blackhawks hosted the Spencer Rockets Dec. 9th and won 65-28. The Hawks jumped out to a 24-9 lead midway through the half but the Rockets went on an 11-6 run of their own. The Blackhawks led 30-20 at the half. We shot well in the half making 14 of 28 of the field for 50%. Vincent Henke worked hard in the paint scoring 18 pts. We also only had 5 turnovers. In the second half the Hawks' trapping defense gave Spencer trouble, getting 10 more steals and 15 for the game. Our defense did a heck of a job holding the Rockets to just 8 second half pts. Mason Gay hit a pair of threes along with Quinn Hatlestad scoring 10 pts in the half with a 3 ball. Ethan Sowieja also dropped a 3 in and scored 7 pts. We rebounded well with Henke grabbing 15 to lead the team. The guys took care of business and got a nice win.
