On Jan 4, the Owen-Withee JV Boys Basketball traveled to Gilman and defeated the Pirates 56-4.

The Blackhawks lead 41-2 at the half with Mason Gay scoring 11, and Ryan Nelson and Vincent Henke grabbing six each.
“The Hawks had a strong finish holding the Pirates to two points in the second half,” Weiler added.
Eleven players scored as the Hawks shot well from the field. Mason Gay and Colin Fritz knocked down threes. The Blackhawks also rebounded well to get the win.

The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Dominic Sherwood and Vincent Henke scored 10 and 12 points, respectively, to lead the Hawks to a 42 to 1 halftime break.
“Coming out the second half the Blackhawks continued to play solid defense getting a number of steals and finishing strong. Offense moved the ball well, playing unselfish basketball,” Weiler said.
Eleven players scored as Alex Gutowski hit a pair of threes.
