On January 29, the Blackhawks traveled to Marshfield to take on the Dons and lost 65-44. The Hawks traded baskets early but trailed 12-7 at the 8:30 mark. Quinn Hatlestad then knocked down a three to make it 12-10.
We broke there press very well but missed finishing some three-on-two chances on the other end. The Hawks trailed 36-21 at the half. Jaedon Hanson had 8pts and Ryan Nelson 6.
The Blackhawks continued to work hard in the second half especially on the boards. Five players registered at least 5 rebounds or more each for the game. We also took care of the ball better having only 5 turnovers in the half. Our shooting improved as we did a good job passing.
We had 12 assists for the game with Hayden Weiler and Alex Gutkowski having 3 each. We closed the gap a few times but Columbus hit 6 second half threes to pull away.
