The Western Taylor County Public Library in Gilman is hosting their annual Make Tracks event!
The Library is planning a special week of activities! There will be a coloring contest for all ages. All entries must be submitted by Wednesday, November 24th by 4 pm. We will have a guessing jar with the closest guess winning the jar of treats! Enter to win daily prizes at checkout. All entries will be eligible for the grand prize drawing on November 24th.
There will be a Basket Silent Auction hosted by the Friends of the Library. Baskets will be on display in the Gilman Village Hall. Bidding begins on Wednesday, November 17th and ends Wednesday, November 24th at 4 pm. Stop by to get your number and get in on the fun!!
We also have a couple of new additions to our annual event – (1) Bring our ad from a local shopper or say you heard our event on K99 – WIGM and receive a special treat! (2) Friends of the Library Book Sale – Many new items have been added in the adult fiction, large print fiction and young adult fiction. We also have many children’s books and puzzles. There are no set prices, all we ask for is a donation!
This is also an opportunity to recognize our volunteers. Volunteers are crucial to running a library and we have some pretty terrific ones! Our volunteers read stories for Story time on Facebook every Monday at 10:30 am. Check them out on our Facebook page! Other activities completed by our volunteers are shelving books and helping prep for craft activities. They are also great advocates for the library. No doubt about it! Our volunteers are the best!!
