The fishing has slightly improved so far this year. Bluegills are being caught more so than Crappies which seem to be in deeper water. Remember to watch and feel the end of the rod for the bite. If you watch your fish locator too much, you may miss them as the bite is very light. Tip-Downs also may help you get through the light bite. Red spikes or red plastics are the bait of choice. Muskie Season is now closed as well as Fall Turkey and Archery.

If you applied for a spring turkey tag, watch the mail as the authorizations are already in the mail. Even though the drawing is done you may not purchase your Spring Turkey License and Stamp until March 1,2021. Bonus authorizations go on sale March 15, 2021.

All-in-all January 2021 is a good time to enjoy the Wisconsin outdoors with the unseasonably warm weather.
