OWEN – An Owen man has been arrested and charged with first degree sexual assault of a child.
On Jan. 5, shortly before 2:30 p.m., the Owen-Withee Police Department received a call from a parent inquiring about the status of a sexual assault case involving their child. The parent said the case was reported to former police department officers in the early months of 2020.
“The current police department officers located records associated with the case and reopened the investigation,” a release from O-W Chief of Police Patrick Fehlman stated.
“Upon further investigation, it was determined there was probable cause for the arrest of a male, who was identified as 37-year-old Jerry M. Graham of Owen. On Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at approximately 11:35 a.m.,Jerry was taken into custody and transported to the Clark County jail, where hewas booked on a number of offenses.”
On Feb.14, Graham appeared in court and was charged. He was later released on a $9,500 signature bond, as well as a $500 cash bond.
An initial appearance is set for March 7 at the Clark County courthouse.
