Special School Board Meeting
July 27, 2020
High School I.M.C.
President Wendler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and Angela Greschner called the roll with the following members in attendance: Amacher, Greschner, Heggemeier, Milliren, Schmelzer, and Wendler. Also in attendance were Julie VanArk, Matt Cihlar, Robert Houts, and Recording Secretary Stacy Rasmussen. Eloranta was absent.
Kevin Mullen from RW Baird met with the board via zoom to discuss the tax impact of the referendum. No motion was made on the referendum amount. The board will decide in the August meeting.
Superintendent Houts brought forward the plan for the return to school. After much discussion, the board brought forward some changes to look into. A Heggemeier/Milliren motion to approve the reopening plan, passed by a voice vote.
A Schmelzer/Greschner motion to approve the retirement of Laurie Grimes, passed by a voice vote. The board thanked her for her years of service.
An Amacher/Milliren motion to adjourn the meeting, passed by a voice vote. Time: 9:07 p.m.
