The Blackhawks took on the first place Neillsville Warriors and played solid defense for most of the game. The Warriors pulled away at the end to get the victory with a final score of 63-49.

The Blackhawks played some solid defense throughout the first half versus the home team Warriors, but unfortunately the ball was not going in as easy for the Hawks even though they had some great opportunities.  The Hawks were aggressive in the first half but could not find a hot hand.  Seven players scored for the Hawks in the half, but they only tallied 19 points.  Their solid defense held the high scoring Warriors to 25 first half point as the Warriors held a 25-19 halftime lead.

Both teams would score more in the second half as the offensive execution was better.  Aaron Ovyn connected for the Hawks from the outside along with some drives. The Warriors connected from long range five times to build a ten-point lead with five minutes remaining.  The Blackhawks made a few runs to cut into the lead, but the Warriors were able to finish with the victory, 63-49.

Box Score: Ovyn 16, Amacher 11, Weaver 7, Klabon 6, Geldernick 5, Stinson 2, Ackerman 2.

Coach's Comments: We played well on defense early and made them work for their baskets, we just could not finish on the offensive end even though we were getting great shots.  The guys crashed the offensive boards hard and got some second looks. We had a few defensive possessions in the second half that that hurt us as we lost track of their shooters and they made us pay.  We are continuing to build and are becoming more consistent at times.
