Rev. Elizabeth Bier (she/her/hers) has been serving as pastor of the ONE in Christ Lutheran
Parish since February 2019. The ONE in Christ Lutheran Parish is a three point parish in Clark
County, WI, made up of Our Savior's Lutheran Church - Greenwood, Nazareth Lutheran Church
- Withee and Emmanuel Lutheran Church - Longwood.
Pastor Elizabeth enjoys serving a multi-point parish as it is living out our call to be the body of
Christ in the world in creative ways and is excited for how God is calling her parish to be God's
hands and feet in the world. She also loves to sing and has enjoyed turning up the volume as
her parish sings together on Sunday mornings.
Pastor Elizabeth is a graduate of Luther Seminary (M.Div) and St. Olaf College (B.A.). Prior to
coming to ONE in Christ, she served in a bi-vocational call with Lutheran Volunteer Corps and a
church in St. Paul, MN. Her other previous work and life experience includes working in refugee
resettlement and intercultural education.
Pastor Elizabeth is passionate about working collaboratively for the common good. Her
contribution to this work includes bringing her strengths in networking, hospitality,
administration, intercultural communication and theological training. She also seeks to partner
with others to engage and dismantle systems of injustice, knowing that that journey begins with
the ongoing development of her own personal intercultural, anti-racist identity as a white woman
in the U.S.
On a personal note, Pastor Elizabeth and her husband, Nathan, have been excited to connect
with local theater troupes as they get settled in Clark County. They were also happy to welcome
new fur babies (cats Salem and Whispers) into their household recently.
